About Us

Urban Proper Redevelopment is a privately owned business that specializes in renovation and redevelopment. We are capable of renovating, restoring, repairing and preserving all types of buildings — from personal homes to mid-sized commercial structures. We also build on previously used, or "infill," lots. In short, our niche in the market is unique: we are experts in property that exists within already established areas — specifically in the urban and sub-urban areas of Charleston and Mt. Pleasant "Proper."

While UPR is as capable of new "greenfield" construction as the next company, we have dedicated ourselves to our market for several reasons. Firstly, we believe in preservation. Secondly, we believe in the sustainability of using and reusing existing properties. Thirdly, we believe in the market strength of already established communities...and that demand is growing. And, finally, we believe in the notion that a custom structure does not have to be a new structure. After all, character isn't created overnight.
